I am a freelance writer specialising in the outdoors, walking and hiking. I love to explore as much of the world as I possibly can, preferably on foot, and enjoy sharing my experiences and adventures with others through my writing.

I have articles published in on and offline magazines and have also written several guides which are selling on Amazon Kindle.

Born and raised in the Midlands, I developed a love of walking, and mountain walking in particular, during a family holiday to the Lake District when I was 14 years old. Since then I have escaped to the outdoors whenever possible.

I have undertaken treks abroad, including the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, the Tour du Mont Blanc and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, including an ascent of Jebel Toubkal- the highest mountain in North Africa.

I also enjoy exploring what England has to offer and love to spend time walking the local countryside around Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. I have also dabbled in the world of ultra racing, completing the iconic Marathon des Sables in 2009.
